The Combilift company was started by two engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had over 40 years of engineering experience when they established the company during 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than 10 years, Combilift became a leader within the long handling market all around the globe, providing equipment to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into many markets all around the world and using their extensive experience and knowledge, Moffett and McVicar have created machines that had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009 and are in high demand.
Below is a summary of some of the Combilift units.
C-Series Combilifts come in an array of mast options. Lift heights as much as nine meters and lift capacities as much as 25,000 kilograms are available. Engines are available in diesel, battery or electric and LPG or gas and the C-Series Combilifts can operate in 210 centimetres wide guided aisles.
The Combilift Straddle Carriers could lift fully loaded containers that may weigh up to 35 tons. These loads can be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where needed, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These machinery are an efficient, cost effective solution for a lot of shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machinery capable of driving in four directions because of its multi-directional steering. This hydrostatic, all-wheel drive lift truck could help companies in many ways, one of which is to allow facilities to have narrower aisles. It also allows the capability to block or bilk stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable type of truck is normally found to be a superior option as opposed to numerous typical sit-down sideloaders due to the many extra features and capabilities.
