Electric Forklift Specifications
The lift truck is a common piece of equipment utilized to lift and carry merchandise and supplies on jobsites like construction and warehousing. Forklifts now are available in varying classes and are powered with different sources. Today, electric lift trucks have become popular for a number of industries. They are powered by rechargeable lead-acid batteries which are more powerful and bigger than car batteries. In this broad category of electric forklift, there are different sub-types distinguished by some common conditions.

Load Capacity
Load capacity is the amount of weight that a particular kind of forklift can support.

Stroke
The stroke is the vertical lift travel of the lift truck. It describes the amount of difference between the fully-loaded and fully-raised positions of the specific forklift.

Classes
In order to organize the features of the various units, classes of lift trucks have been categorized into eight classes. Classes III, II and I pertain to electric forklifts. Class I forklifts include electric motor trucks engineered to be ridden by the operator while in operation. Class II electric forklifts are manufactured for efficiency in narrow aisle environments and are recommended for pulling and stocking products inside a warehouse. Class III electric forklifts are motor-powered hand trucks that are utilized by a person who walks at the back of the model.

Battery Specifications
The battery specifications help to give the required information pertaining to its performance. On the lift truck is a plate which identifies the volts put out from the battery. The battery weight will usually be specified on the forklift as well, as that information is required to know the amount of weight the lift truck should support. Usually the information also includes the forklift weight without the battery.

Input
Input is the amount of energy input which the lift truck's battery is designed to accept while charging. This is an essential condition. Like for instance, an electric lift truck may be able to accept either 230 or 460 volts at a time.
