The design philosophy at Peiner has continually revolved around providing grabs which handle the largest volume of material versus grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner buckets and grabs is roughly 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent vs. grab dead weight of 40 percent. This means moving more quantities of materials quicker. The wear and tear on the crane structure and its related components is less. Through a combination of manufacturing with innovative design and high quality materials, the weight ration which is desired is obtained.
In order to suit the specific needs of our clients' individual requirements, grab sizes vary from less than 1 cubic yard to more than fifty cubic yards.
